Mariusz Pudzianowski returns to MMA after year-plus layoff

Former World’s Strongest Man turned MMA fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski will return to the cage this spring to headline a KSW event.

Pudzianowski will fight at KSW 59: Fight Code,” which takes place March 20, the promotion announced during the broadcast of KSW 58 on Saturday in Lodz, Poland. Pudzianowski’s opponent and the event’s location were not announced.

The 43-year-old heavyweight hasn’t fought since November 2019, when he stopped Erko Jun via second-round TKO at KSW 51. The win snapped a two-fight skid for the Polish star, who made his MMA debut in 2009 after placing second in the World’s Strongest Man competition.

Overall, Pudzianowski’s MMA record stands at 13-7 with one no-contest.

Also featured at KSW 59 is the return of bantamweight champion Antun Racic, who’s notched one title defense since capturing the belt at KSW 51.
