Chris Corbould, the Academy Award-winning special-effects supervisor who engineered decades of Bond stunts, wrote James Bond Cars, one of three coffee-table books collected in a new trilogy slipcase set. The book is illustrated with more than 300 rare images spanning the franchise’s vehicles and gadgets: submarines, jet-packs, and the Aston Martins and Lotus Esprits that made 007 a car-culture fixture. James Bond Style follows, written by Lindy Hemming, the Academy Award-winning costume designer who dressed 007 across several films, charting how the character’s wardrobe and the fashion worn by the women around him evolved over six decades. The third volume, James Bond Destinations, follows the real-world filming locations behind the series: Jamaica, Rome and Venice, the places that turned Bond into as much a travelogue as a spy story. All three ship together in a brushed aluminum slipcase finished with matte metal plating and an embossed 007 insignia, a fitting case for a set built by two people who spent their careers making Bond’s world convincing on screen.<\/p>\n
