UFC Vegas 120 went down last night (Sat., Aug. 8, 2026) from inside the the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Quillan Salkilld<\/strong> defeat Mateusz Gamrot<\/strong> via first-round submission (see it again here). In the co-main event, Carlos Diego Ferreira<\/strong> defeated Billy Quarantillo<\/strong> by unanimous decision, while Yadier del Valle <\/strong>destroyed Darren Elkins<\/strong> in 35 seconds (highlights here).<\/p>\n Who He Should Face Next: Benoit Saint Denis<\/strong><\/p>\n When a winning fighters calls someone out, who am I to go against it? I am all for winners to call their shot \u2014 within reason \u2014 after a big win, especially if they made it look easy against a top-ranked foe, much the way Salkilld did after calling out Saint Denis. Admittedly, the call out is a bit odd seeing as how \u201cGod of War\u201d is ranked two spots below Matuesz Gamrot at No. 8. But if that\u2019s what the streaking Aussie wants then let him have it.<\/p>\n Winner: Carlos Diego Ferreira<\/strong><\/p>\n Who He Should Face Next: Jim Miller<\/strong><\/p>\n After his big win over Billy Quarantillo<\/strong>, Ferreira called for a fight against either King Green<\/strong> or Jim Miller<\/strong>. A fight against Green doesn\u2019t make sense because he is currently on a three-fight win streak. Miller, on the other hand makes bit more sense. Miller is coming off a win over Jared Gordon<\/strong> at UFC 328 a couple of weeks ago. The longtime veteran is still going strong, and a fight against Ferreira would be a fun matchup.<\/p>\n Who He Should Fight Next: Bogdan Grad<\/strong><\/p>\n Yadier had one of the most impressive wins of the night by securing a 35-second knockout win over Darren Elkins<\/strong> (see it again here). \u201cThe Cuban Problem\u201d is 3-1 inside the Octagon, so he is slowly starting to carve a space for himself. Up next, a fight against Grad could be another nice test for him. Grad is coming off a big win over Dennis Buzukja<\/strong>, submitting him — albeit controversialy — a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n Who She Should Face Next: Mizuki Inoue<\/strong><\/p>\n Thainara secured her fourth straight win inside the Octagon to improve her overall win streak to 13 straight after defeating former title challenger, Amanda Lemos<\/strong>. She will get a nice bump in the rankings, and a fight against another up-and-coming fighter could be in order in Inoue. The Japanese-born fighter is 4-1 inside the Octagon, including 3-1 under the UFC banner. In her most recent win, Inoue defeated Jaqueline Amorim<\/strong> via unanimous decision. She is currently ranked No.9, while Thainara is at No. 10.<\/p>\n Who He Should Face Next: Sam Patterson<\/strong><\/p>\n Miller locked down his second straight knockout win inside the Octagon to improve his record to 8-0 after knocking out Billy Ray Goff<\/strong> in the third round (highlights). The up-and-coming Welterweight contender has proven to have the goods, and is off on the right foot when it comes to his UFC career. A fight against Patterson could be another stand-up-war. Patterson is coming off a big knockout win over Santiago Ponzinibbio <\/strong>last month (see it again here), a nice bounce-back win after losing to Michael Page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
