He has an incredible body of work behind him and while he has certainly accumulated his fair share of losses, he has also been in there with some of the best to ever do it in his weight class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: Jose Aldo set for October 4th fighting return vs. former UFC title challenger<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Aldo\u2019s style and the way in which he was able to deal with adversity has been praised in the media by many over the years, and that\u2019s also been the case with his fellow fighters.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent podcast, Jorge Masvidal gave his thoughts on Aldo\u2019s legacy at featherweight.<\/p>\n<h3>Masvidal praises Aldo\u2019s legacy<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cTo me, it\u2019s Jose,\u201d Masvidal said on \u201cDeep Waters.\u201d \u201cI don\u2019t think nobody can surpass Jose. What Jose did at WEC and then what he did in the UFC, those early fights of him at 145, I don\u2019t think nobody can surpass that. He was just too incredible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToo much of an athlete that understood fighting every single position, could wrestle defensively, offensively, his jiu-jitsu was amazing, his striking. I think the best defensive wrestler ever. \u2026I think Jose is the best ever.
