Her total unbeaten run goes back 14 fights. Her last loss was to Marina Rodriguez in 2017. In January, Silva got a decision over Rosa Namajunas. Before that she decisioned Alexa Grasso and Jessica Andrade. Of her eight UFC wins, only two are stoppages. That’s a 2023 TKO over Victoria Leonardo and a spinning back kikc on Tereza Bleda the year before.

Wang doesn’t have the record Silva has, but she’s made herself notable due to the personality she brings to her fights and the build-up around them. She burst onto the scene with a brutal KO over Leonardo in 2024 (see that here). In her next fight she was finished by Gabriella Fernandes, while a -950 favorite. Since then she’s won four decisions, including a fight with Eduarda Moura that she missed weight for and didn’t go entirely her own way. Her last fight was in July, when she took a very dull decision over Tracy Cortez.

It’s easy to see why Silva is the favorite here. She’s been very steady over her UFC career; doing what she needs to win, but also not doing anything that exciting. Wang is a little more emotional and that has led to higher highs and lower lows.

I think Silva is the more rounded and more technical fighter. Though, I also think Wang is more capable of producing a moment that can stop a fight. And I think the stage being set here, plays to the advantage of a showman like Wang.

Both these ladies prefer to keep it standing and both land at a decent clip while also being defensively sound.

Against Namajunas, Silva landed 51 significant strikes and held her opponent to just 26 (at a 27 percent accuracy). Namajunas’ career sig. strikes per minute is 3.5, so she should be landing 53 sig. strikes in fifteen minutes. And her career accuracy is 41 percent. Before this Silva held Grasso to 45 sig. strikes at 32 percent accuracy. Based on Grasso’s averages she should be landing 63. And she has a career 41 percent accuracy. So Silva, it seems, is good at making fighters throw and land less than expected.

Wang really showed up against Cortez, landing 137 sig. strikes with 63 percent accuracy. That’s the third time she’s landed over one hundred sig. strikes in a fight. The only fight that went the distance, where she didn’t break 100, was her win over Eduarda Moura. She landed just 39 there, but that’s because a lot of that fight happened on the ground.

So my big question is, can Silva drastically dent Wang’s output and, even if she does, will Wang still be landing more than Silva typically absorbs in a fight. And also, if Wang can land 130-140 sig. strikes in three rounds, how many can she land in five?

This line of thinking has me leaning towards Wang, who I also think hits harder than Silva.

I think we are due for a five round decision here, since neither of these women have a lot of stopping power. And I think Wang is going to be landing the harder looking shots throughout. Silva might chip away with leg kicks and body kicks, but I think Wang’s big swings up top will make more of a difference and that those will be the ones the judges remember.

Best bet: Wang Cong moneyline (+164)

Who wins the UFC 332 main event?

Closes in 3 days • 78 total votesView results

Natalia SilvaWang CongWho cares?Rec 2CommentsThin Stroke Comment Icon BubbleReplyRead 8 replies

Payton Talbott gets another ‘unc’ at UFC 332. That match seemed to suffer from the fact these two were quite familiar and possibly fond of each other. Before that Talbott took a decision over Felipe Lima. Talbott is now 11-1 as a pro, with that one loss being his famous defeat to Raoni Barcelos last year. Talbott was the -1150 favorite in that fight. Barcelos has since proved that the oddsmakers got that one wrong.

We’ve known for a while now that Figueiredo just doesn’t have the youth or size to be a factor at the upper climbs of Bantamweight. He’s been competitive against great fighters, which I think deserves a lot of credit. But he’s just not been capable of really hurting many and then pushing through to get a win. He did manage to Yan a few times in their fight, but Yan seemed to accept that in order to do what he wanted to do.

Given where Figueiredo is at in his career (and life), I’m finding it hard to pick him in this bout. Yes, Raoni Barcelos has shown us what a 40-year-old is capable of in the division and against this opponent. But Figueiredo and Barcelos are totally different fighters.

I can’t see a world where Figueiredo is able to physically impose himself on Talbott and either get him down or back him up with his striking. Talbott will look like a giant in this fight and that’s going to be significant in the clinch and in wrestling.

Historically, Talbott hasn’t been much of a wrestler, but he used wrestling to beat Cejudo. Now, he might have only done that because he was facing Cejudo and wanted to say he could take down an Olympic champion. If he’s willing to play for takedowns in this fight, I think he’ll find a lot of success with them.

I’m confident that Talbott wins, but I don’t think he stops Figueiredo. Figueiredo has great grappling and is very good at protecting himself off his back. Figueiredo also has a hell of a chin (just watch that Yan fight). His only KO losses are a knee injury and an eye injury.

All that has me looking at the over.

Best bet: Over 2.5 rounds (-120)

King Green will be bonus hunting at UFC 332. That was a split decision win and a Fight of the Year candidate. He’s 2-2 recently with wins over Edson Barboza and Elves Brener and losses to Mateusz Gamrot and Nasrat Haqparast (I think the judges got it wrong on that one, though).

I think we’re right to expect chaos in this fight. I’m surprised to see Green as the underdog, though. I think Green is much better at looking for a finish than Ribovics, who sometimes seems to get stuck in rock ‘em sock ‘em mode and takes too much damage himself to then summon up a finishing blow. Green is a lot more choosey and will snipe with big shots and also make sure he’s not taking one to land one.

Ribovics has one of the highest sig. strikes per minute numbers in UC with 7.43. That’s good for second in the Lightweight division (behind McKinney). But his accuracy is just 43 percent. And he’s absorbing 5.74 sig. strikes per minute. His defense against sig. strikes is 54 percent, which is about average.

Green, though, lands close to what Ribovics’ does (6.49 sig. strikes a minute, which is third highest in the division), but only takes 3.63 and his defense is a very good 63 percent. That’s fourth highest in the division.

I think Green also has the power advantage, too. Ribovics lands hundreds of strikes, but still mostly goes to a decision. Also, if this is going to be anything other than striking, Green has a 45 percent takedown accuracy (which is top ten in the division).

There’s just a lot going on here that makes me lean Green in this match-up.

Best bet: King Green moneyline (+210)

Khaos Williams welcomes a newcomer at UFC 332. And, just like I did when Salahdine Parnasse came over, let me tell you again that KSW deserves some respect. I think Talbott is capable of making Figueiredo pay a similar price, if he tries to engage on the ground at this age and stage.

King Green to Win in Round 1 (+1000)

King Green and Esteban Ribovics might put on a wild opening five minutes, since both are very fast starters. Ribovics is a death by a thousand cuts kind of guy, whereas Green still has one shot stopping power. Ribovics likes to take one to land one and I think Green’s “one” might do him in.

Two-Bet Parlay: Alden Coria and Wang Cong (+537)

I really like Coria and he has been more active than Imanol Rodriguez lately. He also has a size and wrestling advantage over him. And I think Wang is the kind of fighter who will really show up in this moment.

To check out the latest and greatest UFC 331: “Van vs. Pantoja 2” news and notes be sure to hit up our comprehensive event archive right here.

Source link

UFC 332 is live this weekend (Sat., Oct. 3, 2026) from inside Delta Bank Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, streaming exclusively on Paramount+ (watch here).
