It\u2019s a bout that many fans, pundits and fighters alike are pretty eager to see, mainly because the first two encounters between them were both so fascinating to watch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>RELATED: Merab Dvalishvili admits Petr Yan could \u2018beat the s\u2014\u2018 out of him in UFC 333 trilogy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Petr Yan has worked incredibly hard to build himself back up to champion status, and if he gets through Dvalishvili, there are plenty of other contenders who will be waiting to try and prove that they can dethrone the Russian sensation.<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview, Petr Yan opened up on potentially changing weight class at some point to take on a new challenge.<\/p>\n<h3>Petr Yan contemplates his MMA future<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cYou know, if someone is gonna move up and challenge me, it\u2019s maybe a question for them, not for me,\u201d he told Full Violence. \u201cBut, personally, for myself, moving up, it sounds interesting too. Somewhere in the future, yeah.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c145 champ is my friend Alex Volkanovski, so I don\u2019t want to beat him up,\u201d Yan added.<\/p>\n<p>Quotes via Bloody Elbow<\/p>\n<p>Yan\u2019s focus right now is on maintaining his spot at the top of the division, but given the career turnaround he has enjoyed in the last few years, nobody would be surprised to see him challenge himself at 145 pounds.
