Following UFC Vegas 122 last night (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, promotion officials confirmed to MMAmania.com that one fighter was transported to a local \u201cSin City\u201d hospital for precautionary evaluation after sustaining damage in her bout.<\/p>\n
That fighter was Strawweight veteran Loopy Godinez<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Godinez (15-6) was transported for precautionary CT scans of her head and face following her controversial unanimous decision victory over Ketlen Souza<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The 33-year-old escaped \u201cSin City\u201d with the official win, but very few people agreed with the judges.<\/p>\n Beyond fans immediately labeling the result a highway robbery, all but one media outlet had Souza winning the fight. The Brazilian landed the more damaging strikes and did enough to clearly claim the opening two rounds.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, all three cageside judges awarded the contest to Godinez.<\/p>\n The disputed victory returned Godinez to the win column following her second-round submission loss to former title challenger Tatiana Suarez<\/strong> (watch highlights), which snapped her two-fight winning streak.<\/p>\n At the time of publication, the results of Godinez\u2019s scans had not been publicly disclosed.<\/p>\n It is normal for UFC to transport fighters to the hospital for precautionary reasons, especially after fighters are involved in damaging three-round battles, suffer nasty knockouts, or sustain injuries that need additional evaluation.<\/p>\n Stick with MMAmania.com for any further health-related updates.<\/p>\n
