After the slew of finishes we got last week at UFC 332, UFC Vegas 122 featured 9 finishes of its own, including a streak 8 consecutive bouts that didn’t need any scorecards. In the main event, Brendan Allen proved once again to be one of the steadiest fighters at middleweight by submitting Christian Leroy Duncan in the final round of a fun back-and-forth. With UFC Vegas 122 now behind us, let’s look at what’s next for the winners.

Brendan Allen

After going through four hard rounds with CLD, Allen showed his experience and found a nifty rear-naked choke that caught the Englishman off guard in the final frame. He then called out Dricus Du Plessis.

Allen is in a strange spot where his resume should be enough to merit a number one contender fight, but at the time, not being a marquee name might be what leaves him out of the picture once again. He’s 11-2 in his last 13 outings and his current win streak includes a finish over Reinier de Ridder. However, with the timeline for the Strickland/Imavov rematch unclear and Khamzat Chimaev still out there, it seems to me that the most likely outcome for Allen is a fight with the winner of the upcoming Caio Borralho vs Yousri Belgaroui matchup.

Allen’s next fight: Borralho/Belgaroui winner

Jai Herbert

The veteran Jai Herbert gutted out a victory against the much younger Matheus Camilo to earn his second win of the year. “The Black Country Banger” has been around for some time, now, and has proven to be a useful gatekeeper at lightweight for the promotion. He managed to send Camilo back to the drawing board, let’s see if he can do the same thing to another fighter in his mid-20s in Francisco Prado, who was also victorious on this card.

Herbert’s next fight: Francisco Prado

Loopy Godinez

However controversial the decision may have been, Loopy Godinez is officially back in the win column. After suffering her first ever loss by finish against Tatiana Suarez earlier this year, Godinez showed her toughness against Ketlen Souza to escape with a hard-fought win. With names Fatima Kline, Denise Gomes and Alexia Thainara imposing themselves in the title picture, I think Loopy is more than one or two of those wins away from getting her name back in the mix. There are a lot of names that the promotion could throw at her, but I went with the Alice Ardelean who is currently on a three-fight win streak.

Godinez’s next fight: Alice Ardelean

Andre Fili

The longest tenured featherweight in the promotion scored one of the very best highlights of his lengthy career. He snuck a head kick while at punching range and flattened Kai Kamaka III. At 36, Fili showed he still has a few tricks up his sleeve that can catch the younger fighters by surprise. At this point, Fili could fight anyone in the division and it would make sense, but why not throw him against another fun striker in Gaston Bolaños?

Fili’s next fight: Gaston Bolaños

Otari Tanzilovi

After losing his DWCS contest via split decision, Otari Tanzilovi went back to the regional scene and still managed to fight his way into the UFC. The Georgian lost his promotional debut in June, but this beautiful head kick finish of Malcolm Wellmaker shows he could still turn into something worthwhile. I think a fight with a veteran like John Castañeda should help gauge Tanzilovi’s ceiling.

Tanzilovi’s next fight: John Castañeda

Source link

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – OCTOBER 09: Brendan Allen poses on the scale during the UFC Fight Night weigh-in event at Meta APEX on October 09, 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
