Five years after a first-round knockout against Charles Bennett in his bare-knuckle debut at Gamebred FC 2, Emerson will look to make a statement inside the ring.<\/p>\n<p>Emerson has turned his rough upbringing and past troubles into one of MMA\u2019s greatest success stories. Despite being past his physical prime, Emerson still fights for himself and the people he cares about.<\/p>\n<p>As he prepares to fight at BKFC 95, Emerson has one goal in mind: weeding out the \u2018fake tough guys\u2019 in combat sports.<\/p>\n<h2>Rob Emerson ready to weed out the \u2018phonies\u2019 in latest bare-knuckle venture<\/h2>\n<p>During an appearance on the latest episode of BetOnline\u2019s <em>The Fight Guys<\/em>, Emerson revealed why he still wants to fight at age 45.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor me, it\u2019s all about chasing glory. I want to chase glory while I have blood in my veins and breath in my lungs, that\u2019s what it\u2019s all about,\u201d Emerson said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBare-knuckle is for the dogs; it\u2019s as raw as it gets, and it shows who doesn\u2019t want to be in there. You see these guys on social media talking all this stuff on social media and want to be the guy, and they get hit once, and they go back to the true version of themselves.
