Along the way, Hokit picked up big wins over Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis to earn a shot at Ciryl Gane\u2019s undisputed UFC heavyweight title.<\/p>\n<p>Not everyone is on board with Hokit\u2019s antics. Buffer, the longtime voice of UFC, admitted he doesn\u2019t care for Hokit\u2019s gimmick and he criticized the top challenger for calling Michelle Obama a \u201cman\u201d during his UFC Freedom 250 post-fight speech.<\/p>\n<p>Hokit fired back at Buffer on his X account, questioning why the veteran announcer wants prizefighters to be role models.<\/p>\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">I talk trash in the Octagon, but guys on this roster have actual criminal records and rape charges. Should men who try to kill other men, really be your role model? lol\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Some have been out on Hokit for trying too hard to create drama. Others give him credit for trying to shake things up in the UFC heavyweight division. If Hokit can pull off the upset over Gane, his stock would be at an all-time high.<\/p>\n<p>Hokit\u2019s title fight against Gane is scheduled to take place inside Madison Square Garden in New York City on Nov. 14. The heavyweight championship clash will headline UFC 334.
