It has taken a few weeks, but McGregor finally had his ACL repaired after blowing his knee out against Max Holloway at UFC 329 last month (watch HERE). McGregor’s long-awaited return produced a record gate for the promotion, but it only lasted 69 seconds after “Notorious” injured himself mere moments into the fight. McGregor has received significant backlash for his performance, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that he had a real injury that required real surgery.
That surgery occurred earlier this week and currently has McGregor in a leg cast with crutches. “Notorious” does appear to be in good spirits as he continues to enjoy a life of luxury. That said, McGregor had some issues this week as he tried to capture a drone carrying a can of Mac to his balcony. “Notorious” reached over the side as onlookers took watch, but he just couldn’t do it. The Irishman eventually grabbed the can after a tough battle and hobbled off without his crutches.
Check out McGregor’s struggles below:
McGregor, 38, is expected to make a full recovery from his most recent surgery. Assuming the UFC superstar doesn’t experience any setbacks he should be able to make at least one more Octagon appearance next summer to fight out his existing UFC contract.
