BKB and Ryan Garcia Link Up, Leaving Fans Guessing at Future Plans
BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing has added fuel to speculation after its leadership met with Ryan Garcia, posting that the sides discussed boxing, the fight game and “what the future could hold.” No fight, signing, appearance or commercial deal has been announced.
BKB Sparks Ryan Garcia Speculation After Leadership Meeting
The promotion shared a photo on Instagram showing BKB CEO David Tetreault alongside Garcia, with the caption: “Ryan Garcia & BKB. BKB leadership linked up with @kingryan for a conversation about boxing, the fight game, and what the future could hold. Plenty to talk about..” The wording leaves room for several possibilities, from a future appearance to a content partnership or a longer-term move involving the bare-knuckle company.
A direct BKB fight would be the most attention-grabbing outcome, but there is no evidence that Garcia has agreed to compete without gloves. Garcia remains one of the best-known names in professional boxing, and any move outside the traditional boxing scene would invite questions around timing, rules, licensing and an opponent. For now, BKB’s post confirms a meeting, not a deal.
There is a connection between the two men that makes the discussion notable. Tetreault previously served as Golden Boy Promotions’ chief business officer, where he worked on projects involving Garcia during the fighter’s rise as one of the promotion’s central stars. Tetreault later held senior roles at Triller before becoming CEO of BKB in 2025. That background could make this a relationship-driven conversation rather than a sudden pitch for Garcia to enter the Trigon, BKB’s triangular fighting space. It also gives BKB access to a fighter whose social reach, name recognition and ability to generate discussion could fit its current expansion plans.
BKB has been pursuing crossover visibility while building its own roster. The company has signed and featured established boxing names including Lee Selby, Victor Ortiz and Yuriorkis Gamboa, while also placing an emphasis on developing athletes specifically for bare-knuckle competition. Its growth strategy includes activity in the United States, the United Kingdom and Mexico, plus distribution through TikTok and other broadcast partners.
The promotion’s recent activity suggests it is willing to hold conversations with high-profile boxing figures even when an immediate bout is not on the table. Tetreault has said BKB is in active talks with Tyson Fury and Andy Ruiz Jr. about a potential “mega event,” although no matchup or date has been confirmed.
That does not mean Garcia is being lined up for the same kind of project, but it shows BKB is openly exploring ways to bring major boxing names into its orbit. Garcia could also be useful outside the ring. BKB has been investing heavily in short-form programming and live content after its TikTok partnership produced strong early engagement. Tetreault said the promotion had passed 53 million TikTok likes after launching its channel in April, while its June live-sports pilot delivered TikTok’s highest watch time for a sports platform at that point.
