“Death Touch” – MMA World Erupts After Damian Pinas Sleeps Andrey Pulyaev With Savage Uppercut At UFC 332
Damian Pinas sent another chilling reminder of his finishing power at UFC 332, knocking out Andrey Pulyaev in spectacular fashion on Saturday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The middleweight prospects met on the UFC 332 preliminary card, with Pulyaev using his length and movement early while Pinas looked to close the distance. Pulyaev landed a body kick that caught Pinas low, but the Surinamese prospect declined the stoppage and quickly returned to the action.
“The Baba Yaga” continued working inside and began attacking Pulyaev’s legs before the Russian found some success with his jab and another body kick. Then, with just 1:15 gone in the opening round, Pinas suddenly exploded with a right hand, left hand and perfectly placed uppercut that dropped Pulyaev and ended the fight.

The victory marked Damian Pinas’ third consecutive first-round stoppage since joining the UFC. “The Baba Yaga” earned his contract with a first-round knockout of Vitor Costa on Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2025 and has now improved to 3-0 inside the Octagon.
The 24-year-old also moved to 11-1 overall, with every UFC victory coming by first-round knockout.
Pulyaev, meanwhile, falls to 1-4 in the UFC and has now suffered three consecutive defeats inside the Octagon.
