Brendan Allen Gets It Done Late Against Christian Leroy Duncan at UFC Vegas 122
Earlier tonight in the main event of UFC Vegas 122, middleweight contender Brendan Allen dragged Christian Leroy Duncan into deep waters and got the job done in the final round, extending his win streak to four and staying in the top 5.
Fight recap
Round 1 was close. Brendan Allen looked calm and composed while Christian Leroy Duncan was game to make things chaotic from the start. Both fighters had their moments in the first five minutes. Duncan landed some sharp elbows and a spinning attack that stunned Allen. Allen, meanwhile, scored a takedown, controlled the action on the ground, and took Duncan’s back but failed to sink in a rear-naked choke.

Round 2 was all Allen. Meanwhile, “CLD” lost a point early for an eye poke.
“All In” racked up significant control time in R2. The 30-year-old took Leroy Duncan to the mat while the English fighter jumped the gilly. On the ground, Allen hunted for an arm-triangle choke and then a rear-naked choke but could not secure either. However, he made “CLD” carry his weight, bloodied him up, and gassed him out.
In Rounds 3 and 4, Allen controlled most of the action, both on the feet and on the ground. He stayed calm, stunned “CLD” a couple of times but never rushed in recklessly for the final kill.
In Round 5, after a brief striking exchange, Allen dragged Duncan to the ground, took his back, and locked in a rear-naked choke. Duncan tried his best to escape, but the pressure was extreme, and he had to tap.
