The UFC returns to Canada this Saturday, where UFC Edmonton will be headlined by welterweights Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott.
Malott and fellow Niagara Top Team star Jasmine Jasudavicius are once again the one-two punch for Team Canada, with the flyweight featured in the night’s co-main event opposite Erin Blanchfield.
With the landscape of the women’s flyweight division drastically changed in the past month or so, as the injured Valentina Shevchenko vacated her title and Natalia Silva claimed vacant gold, that fight is suddenly much more meaningful. Blanchfield vs. Jasudavicius is now being looked at as a possible title eliminator, so the timing could not be better.
