(WATCH) Jiu-Jitsu Instructor Slams & Restrains Trespasser Until Police Arrive
A man who refused to leave Philip Harker’s martial arts school found out the hard way that it was the wrong place to test that decision.
Harker, a black belt and owner of Higher Performance Jiu Jitsu, said he warned the man multiple times before stepping in and putting his training to use:
I have asked this guy, several times, to get off my business. He chose not to.
At some point, when you make that choice, you’ve got to pay the cost.
The footage showed him maintaining full control of the situation while waiting for officers to respond:
Just a reminder that there are people in this world who may try to harm you or the people you love.
Don’t go looking for violence, but be prepared if it finds you.
In this situation, not a single punch was thrown. Control, restraint, and training made the difference.
Jiu Jitsu isn’t about fighting. It’s about protecting yourself and others while using only the force that’s necessary.
Get yourself and your kids into a good Jiu Jitsu school. You hope you never need it, but you’ll be grateful if you ever do.
