Americans are spending less time with each other, in person, than ever before. I think this trend extends to up here in Canada, too. I’ve definitely not been very social over the past twenty years, but I’m trying to fix that. The key is to sacrifice comfort, for connection. It doesn’t come easy for me, but social connections can literally be life saving. In school, recently, I learned the were connections between life expectancy and social connections.
This all ties into the Male Loneliness Epidemic, too.
So tell me, are you finding ways to go out and be around others? Do you want to, but don’t know where to start? Is it just something that doesn’t interest you? Let’s talk about it.
