Vitalii Yakymenko (c) vs. Marcello Morelli, KSW 122 weigh-in Credit: KSW
Bantamweight gold was on the line at KSW 122 in Rzeszów, Poland on Saturday.
Three big misses at the scale rattled the card on Friday, but luckily, none involved the main event. That headliner found champ Vitalii Yakymenko of Ukraine looking to make the first defense of his title against Venezuela’s Marcello Morelli, who fights out of Warsaw and came up short in a title fight against Sebastian Przybysz last year.
With Yakymenko dethroning Przybysz, Morelli was getting a quick return to the title fight after picking up two straight victories.
