Former two-time UFC flyweight champion Brandon Moreno will fight once more in 2026.
Moreno (24-10-2) is set to face off against Charles “Inner G” Johnson (20-9) at UFC 335, set to unfold at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 12, 2026.
News of the match-up was first reported by MMA Fighting, and confirmed by Paramount+, the UFC’s official broadcast partner, and Moreno himself on Monday.
“The Assassin Baby” will step into the octagon for the third time this year at UFC 335. Thus far he’s 1-1 in 2026, with an upset loss to Lone’er Kavanagh followed by a split decision win over Joseph Morales at Noche UFC in September.
Charles Johnson continues his very busy 2026 this December, fighting for a fifth time inside of a calendar year. He’s 2-2 to date, and coming off a victory against Eduardo Henrique that saw Johnson hit with an illegal knee, but still able to rally for a twister submission. The rarely-seen technique landed “Inner G” 100Gs in the form of a Performance of the Night bonus at August’s UFC 330.
UFC 335 is headlined by a “BMF” title fight between champ Charles Oliveira and fellow Brazilian Diego Lopes, who is moving to 155lbs from featherweight for the fight. The following match-ups have been reported for the final numbered UFC event of the year:
- Charles Oliveira (c) vs. Diego Lopes – for the UFC “BMF” championship
- Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alex Pereira
- Joe Pyfer vs. Bo Nickal
- Brandon Moreno vs. Charles Johnson
