A 22-0 New Zealander has finished opponents with both his hands and his feet. Against a heavy-handed European, he intends to use every option.
Titus Proctor meets Maciej Karpinski in lightweight Muay Thai at The Inner Circle 37 on Friday, November 6. The bout streams live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, for members of The Inner Circle.
The 22-year-old WBC Muay Thai World Champion knocked out Liu Quan in round three at ONE Friday Fights 130 and dropped Tun Min Aung with a head kick en route to a decision at The Inner Circle 18. He is chasing a US$100,000 main roster contract.
Karpinski scored four knockdowns before stopping Donny Smith in round two of his debut at ONE Friday Fights 113. His punching combinations, kicks, and reach present several problems.
The Tihipuke Muay Thai representative has worked on his boxing throughout camp. He wants to attack from every range and keep the Polish striker guessing.
“I want to mix in my hands, my boxing, some good body rips and uppercuts,” Proctor said.
“High kicks, body shots, uppercuts, left hooks, anything. I’ve got a diverse arsenal of weapons. I just want to showcase what I can do.”
Titus Proctor sets his sights on Regian Eersel
A win would move Proctor closer to the main roster and the elite of the lightweight division. Reigning ONE Lightweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel is the name he has circled.
The Kiwi knows that challenge is a long way off. Even so, he believes his youth and aggression could make for an intriguing matchup one day.
“I can just bring that young, hungry energy. I know there’s a couple of other young fighters in the division, but I feel like I can do some damage, for sure,” Proctor said.
“But it’s not going to be easy. He’s the GOAT of the division, so it’ll be a challenge. I want it to be a good goal to set for myself.”
