UFC BJJ 11 took place on September 24th, 2026 and the promotion put together a great card but unfortunately it didn’t result in quite ad many highlight-reel moments as they had hoped. Much has been made of their ruleset and the use of their patented bowl; the promotion regularly brags that they are looking to increase the number of submission finishes, but this event showed the exact opposite. Less than half of the matches ended in a submission and out of the decisions, one of them was even declared a draw. To make matters worse, the draw came in the only title-fight of the night and left fans with an unsatisfying conclusion.
The night started with the most brutal finish, as Daniel Deeder finished teenage prospect Kolby Gonzalez with a kimura that looked like it might have caused quite a lot of damage. Mason Stritzel was up next and he kept the momentum going with a heel hook win over Seve Zazueta in the second round. Jordan Holy was the first bigger name stepping into the bowl and he came away with the first decision win of the night against Ryan Elgarico, before Pedro Machado also scored a decision win over Lucas Norat. That was followed by the last submission win of the event; Jacob Rodriguez hitting a crazy inverted D’arce choke on Kevin Beuhring.
In the only match of the night between female competitors, Aurelie Le Vern bounced back after losing her title at UFC BJJ 7 and earned a decision win over the young contender Rana Willink. That led into the title-fight and although the draw itself was anticlimactic, the action on the mat was very entertaining. Mason Fowler and Nicky Rodriguez battled it out across 5 rounds and with neither man winning, Fowler kept the light-heavyweight title but will likely have to go through a rematch soon. Then in the main event, Mikey Musumeci put on a dominant performance across all three rounds of his grudge match with veteran MMA fighter Bryce Mitchell and won a unanimous decision.
