The UFC returns to the Meta Apex this Saturday, with UFC Vegas 122 headlined by middleweight contenders Brendan Allen and Christian Leroy Duncan.
Allen has been here before, main eventing a handful of Fight Night cards. For CLD, it’s his first time on the marquee, as he rides a five fight win streak into Saturday night. Allen has won his last three, while competing in jiu-jitsu (and with a wrestling match scheduled for RAF later this year).
Both men are ranked in the top 10 (Duncan holds the #10 spot in fact, with Allen above him at #4), but with the division seemingly stalled at the moment, a win isn’t likely to land either a title shot any time soon. Still, a pivotal fight for middleweight that will at least put the victor within striking distance.
