While still in Edmonton for their latest Fight Night card, the UFC has announced their next Canadian stop.
That will see the octagon head back to Toronto on January 30, 2027, with the ScotiaBank Arena playing host to UFC 336.
No fights have been announced for the card. Tickets for the event go on sale next month.
The UFC has not returned to Canada’s most populous city since 2024, when then-middleweight champ Sean Strickland was dethroned by Dricus Du Plessis. At the time, the UFC 297 gate was a Canadian record for the UFC.
As it happens, Strickland is once again middleweight champion, though he appears embroiled in a contract dispute with the promotion at the moment. Islam Makhachev has been rumored to headline the event, against Carlos Prates, but those talks remain rumors for the time being.
The UFC has typically visited Canada twice per year since resuming regular operations following the coronavirus pandemic, which saw them confined to the newly rebranded Meta Apex, and “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
UFC 336 in Toronto coincides with the promotion’s numbered events shifting to Paramount+ in Canada. Currently, SportsNet is the official UFC broadcaster north of the border, but numbered cards remain exclusive to Pay Per View. That is set to change come January, with Canadian fight fans afforded the same access as their southern counterparts for numbered events.
